So I was searching around, and found SnowGlobeBoy.com . I love viral marketing, and this is a great way to promote a product, service or whatever. McKinney Advertising has put together something fun for everyone. I’m not sure how long the guy s going to be in the globe, but I think it would start to suck after a while.
When I joined the chat there were so many people on there it was funny. There are 3 camera views and audio to hear the guy talk back to everyone.
Check it out!

I’m sitting in my hotel room at in Vegas right now, and decided it would be a perfect time to write about PubCon. Today was day 1, and there were a lot of exciting conferences going on. Here is my list of do’s and don’ts on day 1. I’ll post on the following days.
Day 1 Do’s:
1. Wear comfortable shows. I added insoles, but I’m not sure it was enough.
2. Take notes. There is alot of good information.
3. Make sure to attend a session early or else you stuck in the back and have to listen to people talking the whole time.
4. Bring water with your or whatever you want to drink. The vending machines are expensive.
5. Try to talk to others around you. You’d be amazed at some of the connections you can make.
Don’ts
1. Don’t bring an over sized laptop, or else you will be stuck lugging the thing around with you everywhere.
2. Don’t wear uncomfortable clothes. Although there is no real dress code that I could see, you still don’t want to dress like a slob.
3. Don’t try to attend too many sessions, it’s real easy to get burnt out.
This is all of the don’ts I can think of right now. As the days roll on, I’ll be able to post more.
Overall Day 1 Impressions:
There is some good information out there, but at the same time, some of the presenters are a little dry. I won’t name any names, but I would probably leave the session to go to another next time.
On the other hand, I will name some of the really good speakers, Rand Fishkin, Neil Patel, Andy Hagan and Todd Malicoat. I thoroughly enjoyed their presentations. Specifically Social Media, Link Buying and Link Baiting. Very good stuff and I see myself executing some new tactics in the near future.

OK, so I’ve been slacking on pushing affiliate offers, and focusing energy on other things where I know I can get an ROI…. Adsense.
I’ve found a great niche to use Adsense. I tested a couple site structures, then some different layouts of the ads themselves. Once I found that the niche was working and producing some good specific traffic, I started digging around for common keywords and checking domain availability. Jackpot! I think I was able to purchase all of the domain names(18 domains) I needed to replicate this one niche. Unfortunately, there isn’t an affiliate program out there for this. I’ve searched high and low, so this is going to take some creativity to try and monetize these sites.
I know this in’t new to anyone and ‘m not landing on Plymouth Rock or anything. But I think there are people out there that forget about Adsense. I know I did and this is some great residual income.
I remember when Adsense first came out. I thought this program was awesome even though it took me 3 months to even get over $100 to get a check. Well, it’s been a couple years since I’ve really pushed this program, and I think it’s time to get crackin’ on it.

Wow, apparently Blog Rush is the new thing.
Here is a blurb from the ‘About Us’ section of the site:
“BlogRush is a free service that was created to help bloggers solve their #1 need:
More Readers For Their Blog.
By adding the BlogRush Widget to a blog, a blogger can get instant distribution for their latest blog post titles across a network of related blogs.
BlogRush users earn “syndication credits” (the right to have their blog post titles shown inside a widget on another related blog) based on their own traffic (loads of the widget) as well as the traffic of other users they refer to BlogRush. Users can automatically refer others to BlogRush via special links on the widget, as well as through the promotion of a special referral URL they are given.
BlogRush is a “Cooperative Syndication Network” that rewards its users for their contributions to the network — from the impressions they provide of the BlogRush Widget to the referral of other users through 10 ‘generations’ of activity and the impressions of the widget that they provide. BlogRush was designed to be incredibly viral and to provide its users with tremendous distribution leverage to receive exposure for their blog content (onto related content blogs) that they could never achieve on their own; at least without a massive advertising budget.
BlogRush is the brainchild of Internet entrepreneur, John Reese. Mr. Reese is the founder and CEO of Income.com, a soon to be launched social network and media company for entrepreneurs. BlogRush is the first Web property of the Income.com Network, a network of sites and services to help entrepreneurs and business owners succeed. Income.com is based in Orlando, Florida.”

I’ve decided to write a little post about keyword research tools that I’ve used. I ran into a couple people that thought they were gods gift to the SEO world and everything they talked about were solid gold and they would never be wrong. When we talked about researching keywords, they were only using one tools, Yahoo Keyword Selector Tool. Well, I didn’t have the heart to tell them as this gave me an edge, but if you didn’t know, Yahoo hasn’t supported this tool in a long time. I think it’s been since January for an update. So this makes the counts a little skewed as well as seasonality being reflected.
These guys also tried to convince me that the counts were for natural search only. I had to laugh and walk away for a second. YST uses paid numbers and inflated a little to get people to buy more keywords for PPC. Although the numbers are a good reflection of a particular market, they shouldn’t be taken seriously.
Next we had talked about the Trellian keyword tool. If you have ever used this tool, it’s pretty good but limited. Anyways, these guys were trash talking the service to no ends. From the search counts being not accurate to they charge too much yet they still used it. Personally, I like this service, but everyone has their opinions. This service gathers their keywords from ISPs. One important element though is the search counts are from about 2 million users. So, do the math on 2 million users compared to however many internet users…. I think I forgot to tell these about this factor…ooops!
Now I didn’t really try to argue or attempt to correct these guys, only for the fact that they thought they were the hottest shit since sliced bread and offered no real knowledge and were just negative. These kind of people drive me nuts. I may not be the best SEO blue ribbon winner of the universe, but damn, common sense has to play a role sometime.

Looks like Bodog has taken a hit from someone on the ownership of the Bodog.com domain name. Calvin Ayre has issued a statement. According to some people, 1st Technology LLC is the company behind taking the domain in a $49 million dollar lawsuit. I wonder what it’s going to take for Bodog to get the name back?
I still use Bodog for some affiliate stuff, so now I need to go through and change the links out to the new domain, newbodog.com.
What sucks for them is that fact that my affiliate site and their site were actually competing for some popular keywords. I guess I’ll have to step up some efforts to make some conversions.

That’s right, Pimpin aint easy. If you think about it, affiliate marketing is just like pimpin’.
Now bear with me, and take a look at this chart I created about the relationship between them.
| AffiliateMarketing |
Pimpin |
| Find a new niche |
Find a new corner to pimp your women |
| You build a website from scratch, |
You find a new bitch, doll her up with makeup and clothes |
| Make your site conversion friendly |
Teach her how to turn tricks |
| Testing keyword sets in PPC |
Send her to private events to see if it’s the right crowd for Ho’in |
| Narrow in on a niche and capitalize |
If she does well at a moose lodge party in a major hotel, send the bitch back for more |
| Build the site out if it works |
Give her some fake breasts and new finger nails |
| If it loses money over a long period of time, start on something else |
If she can’t turn tricks, kick the bitch to the curb |
| Your niche is now making massive amounts of money |
She’s a well known Ho on the block and every Tom wants a spin |
| Recieve monthly checks |
Snatch the bitches money and send her back out |
| Affiliate company doesn’t pay |
Ball up the fist and knock the bitch out! |
Ok, so the last one is for affiliate businesses that don’t pay, I had to throw that in there. I may be crazy, but if you look at them side by side it makes sense. Now I don’t know about you, but I think I’ll stick with affiliate marketing and leave the pimpin to the Don Juan’s and Sugar Daddys.
So anyways, I’ve decided to try the global approach. I’ve secured my euro-host and registered some co.uk domains. I think I’ll give this a shot as well. has anyone else had success with the European market?

I don’t like asking for advice but I had to ping someone and I wanted to thank Derek B for giving me some awesome tips in an email exchange that we had. I have so many questions, and nobody to turn to. Derek stepped up with great advice.
This leads to the frustration and giving up seems like the easy way out. A lot of questions and concerns go through my head such as, ‘why am I throwing this much needed money away?’, ’why won’t these damn products or offers convert?’ and ‘why can’t I find a starting point to marketing these products?’. A lot of these thoughts run through my head nonstop. The frustration is starting to get to me and quitting seems so easy.
Google has killed 2 campaigns, disapproved numerous ads which further diminish my will to keep doing this. I mean, why research products, do the keyword research, build the campaigns yet have all that hard work come to a screeching halt? This game sucks!
After reading Amits Blog post on Why 2% of affiliates rake in 95% of the profits, I’ve since re-sparked the burning desire to make it. But what am I making, what is ‘it’? Well, to me, it’s the freedom to be financially free, being able to spend every waking moment with my 8 month old baby boy, to not have to work in a cubicle(which, by the way is where I’m typing this from), not have to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to work. I think my turning point was when I was driving home from work on Monday this week, and ended up T-boning a lady that ran a red light. Luckily nobody was hurt! What this accident did do, was further embed my desire to not have to work for anyone else.
My fire is lit to a small spark right now. My goal now will be to get that small flame to a raging inferno! The kind of fire that burns everything in sight and doesn’t stop until there is nothing but a charred landscape. My charred landscape will be me and my family on a beach someplace in the world like a Corona commercial. Except my commercial includes me with a great big middle finger in the air to the rest of the 9 to 5 working class. Do I sound bitter?
Enough ranting, I need to get some work done before my boss see’s me.

It didn’t take too long for Shoemoney to sell off his startup AuctionAds. I remember signing up for the service when it was Shoemoney Ads. I ran the service on a couple car sites and saw a little revenue, but I never gave it the attention I should have.
TechCrunch has some good commentary. Congratulations go out to Shoemoney and Dilsmack!
