Ok, so after some long hours, number crunching and market research, I have finally found a niche to start with. I would say what it is, but then I’d be telling the world and that would not be good. This niche is definitley expandable, so that could be a good point.
I’ve started creating a site and have run into questions I’m trying to find answers for. Like, should I target specific products from the vendor or have user click from a category within the site? I plan to test the both and think that the product will be more lucrative. Who knows…. according to others it’s all about test, test, test. The crappy part is, I get too anxious and try to fly through site creation. I guess I need to slow down, build it right the first time so there aren’t many revisions later.
I’ll keep you posted on the progress.

I’ve run into a huge problem of organizing all of my affiliate logins, sites, analytics and much more. So, this weekend I decided to make myself a basic dashboard. I’m sure that I am a day late and a dollar short on this as people are probably thinking ‘yeah, so, I’ve been doing that for years’. Well good for you. Some people don’t always do this and I have found it to be super helpfull.
In my dashboard, I’ve broken out individual sections to contain Affiliate Logins, Analytics Logins, Textual Advertising Logins and Online Tools which includes keyword analyzers, PPC analyzers etc. I’ve also added one more section that’s not quite finished but close, but it’s a section built with AJAX that pulls in multiple feeds from other blogs that I can read. This is cool, because if I see something I really like or have an idea, I can quickly move around in and out of my different admin sections. I’m a big fan of K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid
Whether this is helpful to you or not, I’d highly suggest taking about hour to build one out even it’s a bunch of links on one page.

Well, this weekend, I really hit it hard and plucked away at the ol’ keyboard and made some sites as well as read a little on Google Adwords and how to monetize by advertising affiliates.
First and foremost, if you watched UFC on Saturday night was awesome. Anderson Silva is a mad man. Gonna be tough for Rich Franklin to handle. I’m a huge fan and have been to a couple events and would highly recommend that everyone at least go to one event.
So, I was able to pull in some coin over the weekend. I run a couple Fighting related sites that promote betting on the fights. I am so happy, because I need the cash to put towards the PPC advertising that would allow me to really dive in and try my hand at this avenue of advertising.
I’ve dabbled in PPC before but have always broke even or lost a little(nothing big). My main focus has always been natural results. But I think I can try to rank naturally and also purchase ads to help crowd out the competition with more page coverage.
I know Affiliate Summit East is happeneing this week, and my goal is to make it to the Las Vegas show next year. By the way, it seems they’re running some kind of deal on entry for next year.
Affiliate Summit Conference
Special rates available during Affiliate Summit (July 8-10) only for Las Vegas in 2008!* Full Conference Pass: $759 — rate goes up to $949 on July 11.
* Booths: $3,495 — rate goes up to $3,995 on July 11.
Not sure if I can swing this much cash, this quick with bills coming up. So, who knows. I’ll give it a shot. I’ve never been to a conference like this, so it would be interesting to attend and learn more by being around others interested in the same thing while sharing ideas. I guess I need to meet some people first.

Well, the 7 figure code just launched and the site is running waaaaay slow. I’m interested in purchasing the 16 DVD’s, but money is an issue, so I’ll wait for the reviews if there are any. Sounds like there is alot of hype around this system.
Buy Here There seems to be alot of bonus information you can get with the purchase. I’m sure as soon as I have some cash I’ll be running to get this.
Here is a little explanation:
It’s a professionally produced 16 DVD set and a binder of transcripts from a secret internet marketing seminar held earlier this year, hosted by Mike Filsaime and Tom Beal.
Mike and Tom are highly successful marketers, earning millions. They and several other top marketers gathered and opened their business models and history and learnings and presented all their knowledge to a lucky crowd of aspiring marketers, who each paid $5000 to be there. You won’t pay nearly that much for the DVD set, not even close, even though Mike and Tom could probably easily sell out hundreds of copies even at that price …
Who is this product for? It may seem that it’s for people already making a ton of money, but that’s NOT the case. Yes, experienced marketers could almost certainly learn a few things, but the 7 Figure Code is really aimed SQUARELY at YOU, the “newbie” marketer, to give you the knowledge and “mind” tools you to get organized, find your focus and take action.”

On the right, I’ve started to collect some links of other blogs that I read on a regular basis. These are great for staying up on what others are doing in the world of affiliate marketing. Anyways, be sure to check them out.

Well, here is the first post in to what should be a something good for others to read(I hope). Just be forewarned, I will not hold back on comments I make. If I see something to cry bullshit on, I’ll call it out.
Anyways, be sure to bookmark the site as I make some adjustments and start posting more for people to read.
Who am I? I’m just a guy in the AZ desert trying to make a living to support my family.
That brings me to the purpose of this blog. I need to make some money! So, I’d like to document some of my affiliate marketing and posting all of my mistakes, frustrations, questions and so on. I don’t claim to be an expert, so you won’t find tons of tips and tricks from me as I’m learning myself. What you will find is that I will post common problems from trial and error in hopes that some experts will stop by and drop some tips.
I’ve been in the internet business for about 8-9 years now, and have dabbled in affiliate marketing, adsense, YPN, and the many other ad networks out there.
In this blog, you won’t find the ‘here is what you need to do’ and ‘I made a million dollars a day and so can you’. It seems everyone is an expert. So this is going to be the complete opposite of that.
Stay tuned…
